Before AI Can Help, You Have to Admit the Data’s a Mess

Almost every product team we speak to tells the same story, whether they realize it or not.

Some of the product data is outdated. Some of it’s wrong. And big chunks are just… missing.

People are configuring solutions or answering customer questions based on memory, tribal knowledge, or whatever someone told them during onboarding. The real information is either buried in an old PDF or doesn’t exist at all.

And then the company wants to add AI on top. Or buy another SaaS platform. But none of it works if the foundation is broken.

That’s been our experience every time. Before anything smart can happen, you have to dig into the product knowledge, restructure it, and make it usable.

That’s where we always start. And only then does the AI actually deliver value — helping teams answer complex questions in seconds, not hours.

Happy to swap war stories with anyone who’s been through the same pain.
