Where should I start?

I’m finalizing my product management certification next week and I’m wanting to get into product management but my aunt (who is a vp) states I should go into Customer Success first. My confusion here is, wouldn’t employers see my PM certificate and not want to hire me for CS? I’ve got my LinkedIn and resume optimized for CS but I’m not sure.
